The Event Kitchen is a small catering company based in the heart of the Dordogne, we specialise in catering for weddings and events across South West France.​

Having worked in the catering and tourism industries for over 30 years we know delicious food and service is key to a great event. From the outset, we carefully answer questions on every detail so that the event day flows smoothly, just as you planned it. You can find out a little bit more about us here.

As one of the most significant occasions in your life, we understand how important your wedding day is to you both. Our approach is very much tailored so that we take the time to get to know couples and really understand exactly what their vision is for their day and what they are looking for in their caterer.

We will work closely with you to design the perfect menu that reflects your style and taste. We have a very wide range of sample menus for you to choose from, but that doesn’t mean we won’t create something that’s not in print!

​Planning a wedding is a big job, but we will ensure you get the personal touch all the way through. To maintain standards and to give you our undivided attention we only cater for one wedding a week, which means our availability is limited!

We have developed a series of sample menus to prompt inspiration. If you're considering a sit down meal Presley has created a 5 course Sit Down menu that includes, Canapes, Starter, Main, Dessert, Cheese & Coffee, with a French influence, using fresh, seasonal produce and his take on some regional specialities. Many couples choose to have the cheese course served as a lovely cheese platter later in the evening.

  • I just wanted to send a MASSIVE thank you to you both for your absolutely outstanding hard work and yummy food on our wedding day. Cat, you were simply amazing, so calming, efficient and organised it was such a breath of fresh air to know that the running of the wedding day was well and truly in safe hands! Everything ran so smoothly and the day was more than I ever could have imagined! So many of our guests commented on how fantastic you were and you really did help make the wedding the day it was, so thank you for going above and beyond!

    Presley, WOW, the food was just absolutely incredible!! I think when I had said to people we were having hog roast they were expecting what we had all experienced so many times at English weddings; Dry pork in a little roll with sloppy stuffing shoved inside but man were they surprised. The pork was so succulent and juicy with the crackling just perfectly crispy, the salads were just divine, you could absolutely tell the quality of the produce was top notch. My personal favourite was the mozzarella, olives and tomatoes in pesto, SO YUMMY, I definitely went up for a second plate! Also so lovely to have the bread separately, it made it such a lovely and light Alfresco dinner. And that Brownie!! EVERYONE has said that it was the best brownie they had ever tasted and i would whole heartedly agree, Brad even said to me a few days later, do you think they would post Brownies to the uk? haha! The staff members you had organised were absolutely lovely and couldn't do anymore to help, even sorting out a water bowl for little Henners. We could not recommend you guys enough, you simply were incredible and such a pleasure to have as part of our wedding day.

  • What can I say - the food you prepared was imaginative and tasted wonderful; there were many comments about how beautifully cooked and delicious the pork was. In fact, one guest who is a chef in America, said it was the best pork he had ever eaten. Cheesecake is not my favourite dessert but the one you made was so creamy and beautifully decorated - it was truly scrumptious.

    I would also like to say that Cat's planning and 'front of house' skills were very much appreciated. Cat - you were so sweet, so calm and so very thoughtful and obliging.
