Jon Rebbeck is a professional Saxophonist who has established a reputation for quality and versatility. A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music Jon has shared the international stage with a diverse range of musicians performing across multiple genres in a career spanning 25 years. Whether you're looking for a Solo Saxophonist, a Sax/Guitar duo, a 5-piece band or a Sax/DJ show - Jon is your unique entertainment solution and will work closely with you to create a special musical experience. Jon is graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and the Guildhall School of Music, London. Throughout his career Jon has appeared on the international stage with a diverse range of musicians including Bob Mintzer, Eric Marienthal, Michael Nyman, John Harle, Phil Wilson, Jim Snidero, Andy Scott, Motown's Bobby Taylor and the legendary Louis ‘Moondog’ Hardin. He has played and recorded with renowned orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic, the RLPO and the Halle as well as the revolutionary, multi-sax ensemble, The London Saxophonic.
Jon was a founding member of the prize winning Apollo Saxophone Quartet, the ensemble that significantly shaped his musical philosophy. Renowned for its excellence and versatility across contemporary classical and jazz genres, the group has been at the forefront of the British contemporary music scene for over 30 years. He also established the Opus Music School in Manchester, UK and has played an integral part of many progressive projects, including Yehudi Menuhin’s “Live Music Now” scheme.
Working from his base in SW France Jon creates music with like-minded musicians from a variety of cultures, performs at events throughout Europe and as an educator supports musicians and live music projects in the local community and beyond.
